Rohini and Nandan Nilekani are among the most influential individuals associated with mindful giving in India. While Nandan is known for his top-down approach to policy reform and societal change, Rohini is synonymous with on-the-ground projects that create a lasting impact.
Nilekani Philanthropies is their attempt to consolidate the numerous projects they support under a single banner. The aim is to propagate the cause of charitable giving in India.
Our engagement with them involved the creation of a brand identity that reflected their contrasting but complementary approaches, yet was rooted in the values of the family. We also created visual extensions of the identity and developed a brand architecture that allowed for joint as well as individual acts of charity among the various members of the Nilekani family. A website in the brand’s unique design language was also created by us.
