Organised by the Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR), Transform is an annual conference on Transgender Rights and the Law. The two-day conference witnesses participation from a range of different actors including transgender rights activists, lawyers, students, intellectuals, and academics.

As design partners for Transform 2018, we conceptualised a unifying theme for the event: an androgynous rendition of Rodin’s The Thinker.

The illustration steers clear of gender stereotypes and depictions. It is brought to life using abstract forms and warm, earthy colours. Our Thinker looks contemplatively into a mirror, hinting at the introspective nature of the event. It also speaks of the intensely personal journey of self-reflection and awareness most transgender individuals go through.

The concept was extended into various outputs including folders, banners, standees and invites.
